The history of the Sabaudia Hotel

LThe structure that houses the Sabaudia Hotel was born as a hotel project in the late 1980s and early 1990s, from the vision of Eng. Antonio D’Ancona and his wife Giuseppina Andreozzi.

Eng. D’Ancona, an Italian who returned from Tunis in the 1960s, bought land in Sabaudia adjacent to the Circeo National Park back in 1967 and built the real estate complex called “Quattro Stagioni” on it.

Due to a series of vicissitudes, the initial project (Hotel in Sabaudia + Shopping Center + Residential Center) never opens its doors, and the housing initially intended for insiders begins to house mostly resident families. The neighborhood, “protected” and oxygenated by the Circeo National Park, thus begins its life in front of this closed hotel on which time was inexorably leaving its marks.
